Five concerts in eight days at Ardmore Music Hall and a new Villanova Theatre production give Lower Merion a full fall arts calendar starting Thursday, Sept. 24.

The Milk Carton Kids, a folk duo, play Ardmore Music Hall on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m., according to Main Line Media News. Four more shows follow: a tribute to the late Philadelphia radio figure Pierre Robert on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m.; Katie Pruitt on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m.; Fastball on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m.; and the Tim William Band on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 p.m.

The Pierre Robert tribute features David Uosikkinen's In The Pocket, a project led by Hooters drummer David Uosikkinen. The lineup includes Kenny Aaronson of The Yardbirds, singer-songwriter Ben Arnold and percussionist Pablo Batista, according to WMMR. Robert, a DJ on 93.3 WMMR for 44 years, died Oct. 29, 2025, at age 70. He was known for championing local bands across the Philadelphia region.

WMMR host Preston Elliot said after Robert's death in October 2025: "He was just an open book about how much music meant to him and the people he shared it with."

Ardmore Music Hall, at 23 East Lancaster Ave., has operated as a rock club for more than 40 years. Owner Chris Perella has run the independently booked venue since 2014. The Ardmore SEPTA station sits about 100 feet from the venue's back door. Tickets and the full fall schedule are at ardmoremusichall.com.

A few miles west on Lancaster Avenue, Villanova Theatre opens its 2026–27 season with "The Moors," a gothic comedy by playwright Jen Silverman. The production premieres Thursday, Sept. 24, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Court Theatre inside the Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, The Villanovan reported. It is the first of five shows in Villanova Theatre's school-year lineup.

Graduate theatre students perform the play in an arena-style setup, with the audience seated on all four sides of a center stage. Two non-human characters, a manor dog called the Mastiff and a wild bird called the Moorhen, are both played by human actors. Tickets and showtimes are at villanovatheatre.org.
