Singer-songwriter Jonatha Brooke and Pennsylvania native Liz Longley play the Bryn Mawr Gazebo on Friday, Aug. 28, opening a weekend of live music across Lower Merion.

Two days later, the sixth annual SHE FEST fills Ardmore Music Hall with a women-led bill of rock and soul acts, local women-owned businesses and community giving on Sunday, Aug. 30.

Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts presents Brooke and Longley at 7 p.m. at 9 S. Bryn Mawr Ave. General admission tickets are $19. The show is co-presented by Lower Merion Township, produced by Rising Sun Presents and supported by WXPN.

Brooke has released music since the early 1990s, blending folk, pop and roots rock; her 2014 album My Mother Has 4 Noses reached the Billboard Americana/folk chart's top 10, and she paired original compositions with unrecorded Woody Guthrie lyrics on 2008's The Works. Longley, now based in Nashville, promoted the homecoming gig on Instagram.

Sunday: SHE FEST at Ardmore Music Hall

The sixth annual SHE FEST takes over Ardmore Music Hall, 23 E. Lancaster Ave., on Sunday, Aug. 30. Doors open at 3 p.m. and music runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is 21+.

The bill features Kat Rivers and the Second Sight, The Ladies of SHE, and a closing set from the Sharon Lia Band, according to WMMR. Ticket pricing had not been confirmed as of Aug. 27. Residents can check the Ardmore Music Hall website for updates.
