A Gladwyne mansion sold for $7.15 million, the priciest transaction in a two-week stretch of Lower Merion and Narberth home sales.

The property at 26 Old Gulph Road spans 19,382 square feet on 6.81 acres, with eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, according to Zillow data reported by Patch on Friday, Oct. 9. Patch staff writer June Bakan compiled the data.

Twenty-three homes changed hands during the period: 21 in Lower Merion and two in Narberth. Nine sold for $1 million or more.

The median sale price landed at $875,000. That figure is well above the $645,000 median Patch reported for a comparable Lower Merion two-week window in September and the $734,950 median from August. The earlier roundups did not include Narberth sales, so the comparison is not exact.

The median-priced home was 200 Ladbroke Road in Bryn Mawr, a three-bedroom, three-bathroom house of 1,881 square feet. Across all 23 sales, the median home size was 2,526 square feet.

At the other end of the market, a two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit at 1030 E. Lancaster Ave., Apt. 402, in Bryn Mawr sold for $209,000. The 830-square-foot condo was the lowest-priced sale in the batch.
