Lower Merion parents can join a free Zoom discussion on how to talk to their kids about healthy relationships, personal boundaries and consent on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.
The session, titled "Healthy Relationships, Boundaries and Consent: Practical Ways to Talk To Your Kids," is organized by the Lower Merion School District's Interschool Council (ISC). It is open to parents and guardians of children from elementary through high school.
Two licensed mental health professionals will lead the conversation. Rebecca Whitten holds a Psy.D. from Widener University and an M.Ed. in human sexuality. She is a Narberth-based psychologist who specializes in relationship therapy, according to her Psychology Today profile. Lisa Gaub is a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor.
The district's event listing says the session will focus on helping parents and guardians guide their children through age-appropriate conversations about relationships, boundaries and consent. The speakers also plan to discuss ways to strengthen family communication and build trust.
The Zoom meeting ID is 844 7867 9990.
