Vintner's Table, an Italian-style wine bar, plans to open in October at 24 Cricket Ave. in downtown Ardmore, adding to a wave of new businesses along the Lancaster Avenue corridor.
The wine bar is one of at least six businesses preparing to open in the district. As we reported Sept. 3, five arrivals were announced in the Downtown Ardmore District's monthly newsletter: VEG ER for Pets at 167 W. Lancaster Ave., Solis Mammography at 171 W. Lancaster Ave. and Vintner's Table.
Two more round out that list: Pure Green Juice Bar at 56 E. Lancaster Ave. and Calm & Strong Pilates and Yoga at 46 Rittenhouse Place.
The Philadelphia Inquirer's fall 2026 restaurant forecast, published Sept. 9, added a sixth Ardmore arrival. Taco Heart, a breakfast-taco shop based in South Philadelphia's East Passyunk area, plans to open Oct. 5 at the Ardmore Farmers Market at 120 Coulter Ave. The Ardmore location would be the shop's first expansion beyond Philadelphia.
Vintner's Table owners Andrea and Marco Folino are targeting October for the Ardmore opening, the Inquirer also reported. The couple operates Folino Estate Winery & Restaurant in Kutztown, and the Ardmore shop will be their third Vintner's Table location after Phoenixville and Wyomissing. The bar had previously aimed for early August but missed that target.
Calm & Strong targeted a September opening. Pure Green, a cold-press juice franchise founded in 2014, will be the brand's first location in Philadelphia's western suburbs when it opens. No opening dates have been announced for VEG ER for Pets, a 24/7 emergency-veterinary chain with more than 130 clinics across the U.S. and Canada, or for Solis Mammography.
The arrivals extend a commercial streak in downtown Ardmore. Alec Hersh, executive director of the Downtown Ardmore District, told Main Line Media News that as of July 20, 10 businesses had opened in the district in 2026, with three more on the way. Eleven opened in 2025.
The $187 million Piazza at Ardmore mixed-use project at 100 W. Lancaster Ave. broke ground in May and is expected to add 270 apartments and 30,000 square feet of retail space by February 2028.
